68 – 69 Barracuda

This is my latest build, a model loosely based on the 68-69 Barracuda. I got interested because I was watching the first season of #pokerface with Amber and Natasha Lyon drives a similar car in the show, so I got to work. I assumed, incorrectly that the upcoming Dusters and Demons (70 – 73) were based on the Barracuda platform. No. The early Cudas/Barracudas were built on the Plymouth Valiant platform. The Later Cuda’s and Challengers were built on the E body platform, specifically built by Chrysler for the job. The Dusters. Darts and Demons were built on Chrysler A body Platform. Still, there are some styling cues between the early Barracudas and the Duster/Demons of the early seventies.
